Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Printing Production Machine Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of printing production equipment during the 1st shift in our Lenexa facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical and electromechanical equipment critical to high volume print, packaging, and fulfillment operations. Your work will support production efficiency and safety by keeping complex, high-speed industrial printing and finishing machinery running within manufacturing specifications.

• SCHEDULE: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
• PAY RATE: $25/hr

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on printing production machinery.
• Disassemble machines, replace worn or broken parts, adjust mechanical components, and restore equipment to operational standards.
• Interpret and follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications to ensure repairs meet production requirements.
• Clean and lubricate moving parts, order replacement components, and verify operational tolerances.
• Adapt tools and procedures to resolve unique equipment issues and assist in solving complex mechanical or electrical problems across the production floor.
• Maintain Sheet Fed Offset Printing Machines and other high-speed industrial equipment used in printing, finishing, packaging, and mail processing.
• Diagnose and repair low voltage electrical and electronic systems including wiring, motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot and support automation controls such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of complex equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic tools including Digital Multimeter (DMM), Clamp Meter, Continuity Tester, Non-contact Voltage Tester, and Logic Probe for PLC I/O checks.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical diagrams, schematics, manuals, and instructions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sheetfed Offset Printing Presses.
• Experience with high-speed manufacturing, print, bindery, inserting, packaging, or fulfillment equipment.
